This RETIRED Fontanini Nativity figure is known as the Kneeling Angel . Fr om the 12 cm (5") collection, the mold was introduced in 1967 , and retired in 1994. The bottom is marked with Fontanini 1983 , Depose Italy , both the Spidermark and Fontanini "Little Fountain" trademarks, and the "Fontanini number" 18 . Later, when Roman, Inc. became the distributor for Fontanini in North America, the "Roman number" for this piece would be 52518 . She was made at the House of Fontanini , from the one-of-a-kind resin was developed by Mario Fontanini to replace composition materials. She was handpainted in the rich tones of Tuscany, with a light-blue robe, and beautiful, shimmering golden wings .
