Welcome to our auction for a close to not if, mint condition set of five "CIRCLE" goblets that were made by the Hocking Glass Company during the 1930s! They have a beautiful optic panel bowl and layered circles around the bottom portion of the sumptuous shaped bowls! You can use them as wine or water goblets, plus much more! They are considered water goblets in the "CIRCLE" line and are 5-7/8" tall! In Mauzy's Depression Glass 3rd Edition book, they are listed as 5-3/4" tall, and this is certainly one of many, many times I've seen Depression Era Glassware measure differently from lot to lot from the manufacturing process! Across the top, they are 3-1/8" wide, and the bases are just a bit shy of 2-3/4" wide. The bases have a delightful fluted rayed design on the underside of the bases that just glisten and shine through the glass! The glass has a very pretty polished sheen and the bowls are thin to medium walled! At the point of the "CIRCLE" pattern on the bowl, the stem and the base, the glass gracefully tapers into a thicker glass! They will hold 10 ounces of your favorite beverage very nicely! THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY FREE OF ANY CHIPS, CRACKS, NICKS OR FLEABITES!!! You might find a couple of light use marks or t but t are not many! They do have some straw and cooling marks, as well as, some of usual air bubbles or t! Some of the strawmarks (from cooling while placed on straw) are absolutely distinguishable and bear the shape of the straw; which I truly think is fascinating & very interesting!!! The cheerful spring green color by day is very cheerful and by black light, the neon lime glow is ultra-intense & wants to jump out of the goblets!!! You will be very pleased when you add this set of 5 goblets to your Depression Glass collection that is made with a very nice pressed mould quality that ALMOST looks hand-blown!
