RARE Collection of FLOW BLUE WALDORF PATTERN 5 - 9" PLATES NEW WHARF POTTERY ENGLAND, SEMI-PORCELAIN 1890 - 1894 CLASSIFICATION : FLOW BLUE, Dark deep coloring Piece Description : 5 PLATES Size : 9 INCH PATTERN: WALDORF Manufacturer : BLUE BACKSTAMP New Wharf Pottery Company, Bursmem, Staffordshire, England, printed Staffordshire knot and crown mark with manufacturer's name below the knot and WALDORF pattern name in a banner above the crown. Additional markings: 3 plates - impress marked #612 with #20 below, blue backstamp numbers that is hard to read one looks like a #3 the other two possibly the #1 but I am not sure -- 4th plate impressed #712 with #18 below, blue stamp _9 or 6_ ? -- 5th plate impress mark #513? & #4 below, blue #3 Gaston's Flow Blue China Comprehensive Guide - was used for reference CONDITION: NO CRACKS NO CRAZING NO REPAIRS Age appropriate glaze skips, glaze pops, inclusions, and stilt marks (on the underside only) high gloss marks from heavy use - Under close inspection you will find - two plates that have nothing to note, one plate has 3 fleabites on the outer rim, one plate has a underside 5/16" x 6/16" rim chip and some brown lines beside the makers mark these appear to be under the glaze, one plate has 2 backside rim chips 3/16"x6/16" & 8/16"x1/16" (see photos) These are all in need of a good read more
