For anyone who has dealt in or collected postcards over the years, you have all seen them; those early black and white photo postcards of a variety of scenes and people from across Europe. Those postcards are actual photos, as you probably knew, and I offer a grouping of 50+ assorted glass negatives from which these postcards were made. Each neg has a different scene, most of them are from small towns and villages in France, some are from Monte Carlo, Bordeaux, Marseilles, and so on. I am not going to take the time of effort to list the subject of each one They come from a closed antique shop so each negatvie has a price sticker on it. (The dealer was asking $ 4.50 each for them, I am opening the bidding at under 50 cents apiece.). The photos give an idea of the contesnts of the lot. ALl of the negs are in good shape, some have some blurring or image fuzziness due to age. (You would be fuzzy too if you were over 100 years old) A nice lot. Most items are photographed in natural outdoor sunlight when possible. As such any dark areas in the images are shadows or shady areas unless otherwise stipulated.
