50 HIGH QUALITY A++ FOSSIL SHARK TEETH ( PLUS EXTRAS )

TEETH DESCRIPTION
Up for auction is a collection of 50 extremely high quality fossilized sharks teeth. The teeth in this lot are in the top 5% of teeth I have collected and are suitable for museum display. Please take note that the one Meg in this lot 3rd up from the 4" mark has a chip on the root, right side. ( See photo ) These teeth have been collected in and around Lee creek/Aurora North Carolina, world famous for it's fossils. All these teeth are in extremely good condition for their age, most of them are smooth and shiny, some are dark in color others are light ( see photo ). The coloring of the teeth is dependent on what types of minerals the teeth were buried in. They range in size from approximately 1/4 of an inch to 1 1/4+ inches. These teeth are estimated to be 5-20 million years old and come from the Castle Hayne Pliocene and Miocene formation. The species of sharks that these teeth come from include some or all of the following: Tiger, Hammerhead, Mako, Sand Tiger, Silky, Lemon, Thresher, Bull, Dusky, Copper, Snaggletooth, Hemiprisitis, Great white and Carcharodon Megalodon. ( See photo's ) EXTRAS As extras I am including 3 small fossil dolphin ( purpose ) teeth, 3 nice fossil Shells, 7 high quality fossil Ray teeth ( several species ). and 5 black fossil barracuda teeth ( barracuda teeth collected on the bank/shore of the cape fear river ( NC ) w it meets the ocean, estimated to be 5 - 20 million years old and from the same time period as the Lee creek teeth above ) Dolhpin teeth, Ray teeth and Shells are collected from the same fossil layer as sharks teeth ( Lee Creek ).
