This auction is for a vintage set (1965) of the Five-Foot Shelf of Books known as The Harvard Classics. Actually this collection measures about five and a half feet! This is a nearly complete collection containing 50 of the 51 books. Volume 17 is missing! This is the deluxe, registered edition published by P.F. Collier & Son, 56th printing, 1965. Overall, this set is in very good condition. The books show little shelf wear. One of the volumes (33) has a small tear on the top board and a water stain, though the pages are not affected at all. No wrinkling or odors. All of the bindings appear strong and of the volumes that I flipped through I found no writing at all. All appear clean and sound. T will, however, be a bit of storage dust included in this auction! I try to describe honestly and thoroughly but I am not an expert. If you have any questions, please ask! I will be happy to answer all questions. I plan on shipping these in two or three boxes via media mail. I take great care in packing properly and shipping promptly. For your convenience, the titles: Volume 1 Benjamin Franklin, John Woolman , William PennVolume 2 Plato, Epictetus, Marcus AureliusVolume 3 Bacon, Milton's Prose, Thomas BrowneVolume 4 Complete Poems in English, MiltonVolume 5 Essays and English Traits, EmersonVolume 6 Poems and Songs, BurnsVolume 7 The Confessions
