Fine group of BOY SCOUT COLLECTIBLES. First is a BOY SCOUT POCKET KNIFE: KAMP-KING by IMPERIAL, PROV RI USA. This knife has served its Scout well. It has one blade, a can opener and a spike (see photo.) The second blade is missing, broken off at the base. Knife is solid and heavy, and shows wear but no dings or damage to the tip. The knife components lift out and lock in place securely. A fine, genuine piece of Boy Scout history. Also included: the HANDBOOK FOR SCOUTMASTERS. 512 pages published in 1947. The owner had written his name on the first page, and the front cover has become detached (see photos) but otherwise the Handbook is in very good condition. Pages are not brittle, photos are clear and bright. Also included is a TROOP RECORD from TROOP 13 in BOSTON, 1960-1961. Most pages are unused but the Troop information has been written in on a few pages (see photos). The Record is intact, with all pages in good condition. Includes a page entitled "ONWARD FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY" with a description of how to meet the challenge to "Be Prepared".Final items are a NEWSPAPER ARTICLE from a BOSTON newspaper, describing "the highest honor a Catholic Boy Scout can receive". Boston's Cardinal Cushing himself was to present the award, a receipt from Filenes Department store and a receipt dated 4/9/59 from the Boston Council of Boy Scouts read more
