. LOT OF OLD PHOTO NEGATIVES FROM THE 50's-60's Note - the light band across the photos is from my slide light box.. This small lot of photo negatives is I am guessing based on one note possibly the Sioux City Air Force Base but cannot be positive. Also noted San Bernadino on a sign on one of the other photos. It looks to possibly be on a reservertion showing American soldiers buiding an ice skating rink & helping serve food? & a couple others. Oh the fun of scrounging...Every once in a while you actually score something useful, something valuable, or perhaps something interesting. Such as this lot of negatives i picked up. Not even sure w it was or I'd go back & ask the older lady what she could tell me about these negs. Then again I might embarrass her or she might even want them back. In this zip lock bag of negs t is fortunately a few small notes & dates which are very helpful, but I really wish t was more. Among The notes are "1957 Souix City AFB", "Making An Ice Skating Pond" "1964". First t are many 'girl photos' They are fairly numerous & have several different (Gidget-like) women, using an assortment of mostly the same props & backdrops. Some of these props being a bit cheesy - such as the lollypop & the telephone....Not sure what this is all about...just a guy who liked to photograph girls? Included in these is a guy I refer to as Mr. Natural, (looks a bit like the ZIG ZAG man), shown in one shot w/ his houka pipe, not sure who this guy is, could also be ..? Some of these give little clues - part of a drum you can make out the words "Training Center....Calif." Much to our surprise it included 2 nude shots. The second lot includes the milatary negs of the AFB - Air Force Base. These are quite interesting. They include photos of rockets/missiles, & jets, Shots taken from a cockpit. Also some photos of military ceremonies. T is several Indian photos which I am guessing is our wonderful American politicians trying to make up for the wrongs we have done to them. Occasionally the girls & the military combine ....USO? One particularly interesting series of photos is a busy street scene & hovering above is.?. a blimp? a rocket.? a float.? (see photo) T are some fantastic old car photos, a Budweiser truck & some random ones that I am not positive how they connect or if they do.So we are breaking these up into several auction lots as t is such a wide area of interest. T is one endearing (to me) lot Of the military base that focuses on one guy in uniform & his Great Dane & a racoon. Note - These are negatives i converted in an art program after taking pictures of the pictures w/ my digital. I am an amateur at best. The quality will certainly be improved w/ knowledge. The dark lines across some of the photos is from the lines in the light tray i used which is meant to hold 35 mm slides. Photos are not centered. I went through very quickly trying to focus on the center of interest, not concerning myself with getting the complete image. What you see in our photos is mostly cropped snips of the photos. I did put them in my my art program & inverted them, put them in "gray scale", & did a one-click enhance. The condition is quite good as all were in their original sleeves. 3 sleeves has somehting spilt on them which lightly spotted three of the negs but not too terrible. The stack of negatives you see is all of the negtives not just this lot. TERMS OF SALE : We are honest sellers. We describe all of the damage we can find. ALL ITEMS AS IS & DESCRIBED.
