"DESIGN 2" Flatware Set by Don Wallance for Lauffer Germany "Design 2" designed by Don Wallance in 1957 produced under the H.E. Lauffer label in Germany . This 18/8 stainless flatware set includes 6 of each Fork 7"Salad fork 6 1/4" Knife 7 5/8" SoupSpoon 6 3/8" Teaspoon 6" Don Wallance and Russel Wright introduced the use of satin-finished stainless steel for modern flatware. This three dimensional curvaceous pattern is both streamlined and sculptural and exemplifies the looks of the 1950's. Mr. Wallance, an industrial designer, produced furniture, flatware, and cooking utensils; he is also known for designing the original cantilevered seats for the Philharmonic Hall at Lincoln Center in NYC. His flatware designs are represented in the MoMA permanent design collection. Excellent estate condition with normal surface wear/scratches due to use/age; t are no distortions, nicks, or any other problems. Buyer accepts personal checks (held ten business days to clear), USPS Money Orders (no others), or bank cheques . Buyer ships within continental USA; other locations please email seller before bidding.
