50's MURANO GLASS LAMP Gold Fleck FOIL LABEL Eames ERA

This fantastic vintage mid-century Murano Italian glass lamp has the original blue and silver foil Murano Glass Made in Italy sticker or label. The lamp is a white with gorgeous gold leaf adventurine flecks and cased in clear glass. The glass has a texture that swirls down the body of the lamp and changes to smooth glass at the bottom neck. The base is a heavy brass metal finish with some wear from age and I show the worst spot in the picture below. The finial is just fantastic and looks like an egg or a paper weight with white flowers and a very large controlled bubble inside each flower.
T is a black fleck that is under the clear glass encasement and just to the right of that is a tiny 1/8" scratch you can see and feel. The total height is 39" and the widest area of the glass is about 8". The shade is the original and has a grecian gold trim on the top and bottom. The shade is a silky linen feel that is lined with a white material. T is some wear at the bottom of the shade by the trim. You can have the shade and it will be shipped in a separate box or if you don't want it, I'll understand! The light is working but they have spliced another cord onto it about 1/2 way down the cord. So you may want to rewire this beauty for permanent use. I knew the owners and this had belonged to their grandfather who was going into assisted living. I don't know if it should be attributed to Bavovier & Toso, Seguso Sommerso or the like. I'd love to hear from you if you know.Email if you have any questions or would like more pictures.
