This auction is for an exceptionally fine Native American Navajo handmade Souvenir, two serving piece Sterling Silver Salad Set, a four tine fork and spoon, highly decorated with symbols stamped into the handles and bowls and a single bezel set Turquoise cabachon on the handle.This set was likely made after WWII up until the 1960's, but not after. Neither piece is marked, appears unused. The Navajo hand work on this set is just superb as well as is the condition. The set is somewhat rare as t were few made, far more abundant are the single spoons, but even these are somewhat scarce. The practice was more or less abandoned in the the 1960's and the change of attitudes and lifestyles. This Navajo set is essentially unmarked unless the tiny marks shown, are in fact, marks, I am not sure but these are shown below. The authenticity, age and Silver content is fully guaranteed. These are an impressive example of Navajo Artistry and will be treasured by any collector of fine Native American Silver. I have provided many detail pictures . SIZE: 9-1/2" long x 2-1/2" wide at widest on both fork and spoon..handles are 3/4" at ends. Weight is approximately 41/2 ounces.
