This auction is for a very rare stein. It is 50th Anniversary D.Day, June 6th,1944 lidded stein. It is a limited edition stein #281, This stein is by James Dietz. It is in the original box. On the bottom of this stein is "29,LET'S GO" by James Dietz ,50th Anniversary of D-Day, June 6th, 1944.No. 281. Produced Exclusively by CUI,Inc. Limited Edition of 1944. On the lid is 50th Anniversary of D-Day June 6th, 1944and 3 gold stars. This is on a ceramic piece set into the metal lid. T is a mural that goes from handle to handle on the sides of this stein. It is a depiction of American soldiers landing on one of the five beaches on D-Day. The rest of the stein is a bone white with a gold stripe around the bottom and another gold stripe on the top rim and another wide gold stripe around the mural itself. This stein stands 8 1/4 " tall.This is a very nice piece and would make the perfect gift for a veteran or a military collector. T is also a letter of authenticity with this stein.
