Up for bidding is a double dated (1886 &1936) Religious medal that Represents the 50th Anniversary of Lithuanian Catholics in America as issued in Philadelphia, Pa. The token measures 1.07 inches (27.1mm) in diameter and about 0.09 inches (2.2mm) thick. The weight of this token is 8.9 grams. Production number of this Token is unknown to me. The medal is double dated. The obverse shows a crowned and veiled woman (possibly Mary the mother of God) with a series of rays shooting away from her head. The words: "LIETUVIU RYMO KATALIKIU SUSIVIENIJIMAS - AMERIKOJE" is in the outer circle and the words: "JUBILIEJU - PARENGE - 10 KUOPA - PHILA., PA." is in the inner circle. The reverse has a sheild with a "Vytis" (Lithuanian charging knight on horseback) with a date of 1886 inside of the sheild at the bottom. The words: "LAPKRICIO 22D. 1886M. L.R.K.S.A. LAPKRICIO 22D. 1936M. is in the outer circle. The words below the sheild are: "LIETUVA TEVYNE MUSU". I try to describe my auction items to the best of my ability.
