Up For Bid Is This Beautiful "Adoration" Rogers Bros. I S Silver Flatware Set w/Case & Orig. Guarantee Papers The back of all pieces are stamped "1847 Rogers Bros. I S". This is Inlaid Siver Silverplate. Included is a nice heavy storage case with red velvet and a cream colored satin on the inside, I don't know what kind of wood the box is made of, it is scratched & scuffed up on the outside. The inside is in nice shape, with all of the knife straps still together & tight. This set was very badly tarnished when I purchased it at an auction. I spent a lot of time polishing it but especially with this intricate designed pattern on the sides, I'm sure it could be polished and made to shine a lot more.The pieces include are as follows: (7) Soup Spoons- approx. 4 are very worn on the spoon tip area (8) teaspoons-1 handle is bent (8) Dinner Forks, (6) Salad Forks, (7) Knives- 1 blade is dented & a few the handles are very worn , (8) Butter Knives?, (3) Large Serving Spoons-8 1/2", (1) Large Serving Fork-9", (1) Butter Serving Knife, (1) Relish Fork, (1) Jelly Spoon?, (1) Youth Knife?-measures 7 1/2" long. I'm not positive the technical name for each of these pieces so feel free to ask questions. I have listed the matching Cake/Pie Server & the Gravy Ladle also in "Adoration" I S and will combine shipping. Thanks For Looking!
