This 52 piece set of S. Kirk & Son Son includes 12 each of dinner knives, dinner forks, salad forks and dessert spoons. T are also four serving pieces - three 8 3/" long serving spoons and one 8 5/8" long serving fork. All of the pieces except the knives are marked S Kirk & Son Sterling. The knives are marked KIRK sterling handle stainless blade. The total weight exclusive of the knives is 61.60 oz/1750 grams. Each of the twelve knives weighs 2.6 oz/75 grams. The handles of each of each of the pieces if fully decorated in a realif floral pattern. The knives, forks and spoons are all the same decoration with a dominant sunflower or daisy. T are other flowers including a dogwood bloom. The dominant flower of the serving pieces is a five petal flower and is tfore a bit different than the dining pieces. All are in excellent condition without scratches or bends. They are housed in a wooden box with side handles, a lower drawer and a felt lined inside. The box has a taupe-brown finish and has a few scratches. The drawer works well, and the box is nice and sturdy. The set is vintage; however, I do not know the age.
