Insects are all identified to Order , Family and Common Name . Most are identified to genus or genus/species . That will save you hours of work! PLEASE EXCUSE THE POOR PICTURES - THESE INSECTS ARE NICE SPECIMENS! ALL INSECTS (EXCEPT BUTTERFLIES & MOTHS) ARE SENT IN DILUTED ALCOHOL TO KEEP THEM RELAXED (FLEXIBLE - READY TO PIN AND SPREAD). THEY ARE CONTAINED IN 6, NUMBERED JARS and 1 BOX (The Butterflies & Moths). The Butterflies & Moths in this set come to you DRY in glassine pouches , protected in a box. These MUST BE RELAXED for pinning (the others are ready right from the jars). To relax butterflies/moths - you can use steam in a box (like professionals) or the quick and easy way is to lay them in a dish of clear rubbing alcohol for several hours or overnight. The fluid the other insects come in will work fine for this. Then lay them on paper towels to drain - then spread/pin - let dry. T IS A LIST TELLING WHICH SPECIMENS ARE IN EACH CONTAINER.
