(53) 1880's-1950's Railroad Post Office RPO Postal Covers Hundreds Retail Description : These are from the estate of a long time postal collector. All have RPO postmarks on them and date from the 1880's-1950's. A couple are 1960's, but they are special such as Last Trip, signed by crew, etc. It looks like they are all different. Some are postcards, but most are envelopes. Conditions vary, and I really don't know anything about scarcity of the different postmarks, however the collector has identified each on the exterior of the plastic holder that houses the item with the RPO and either his purchase price, or the value of the item (I am not sure which one, and since the original owner is dead, I can't find out). All were priced at least 10 years ago. At any rate, they are priced between $3 and $40 each with most in the $7-15 range. It adds up to at least $250-500. Conditions vary.
