Description Item Specifics - Folk Art, Primitives Type: Sculpture/Carving Country/Region: US-Southeast Material: Wood Style: Tramp Date of Creation: 1950-1969 For sale is a charming three mirror piece of folk art on a thick wood base. The edges are chip carved with small chip carved and cut decorations glued? on. The center mirror is 11 inches tall; the two side mirrors are 8 1/2 inches tall and the base measures 14 inches long and 5 inches deep. Each mirror section has a larger mirror at the bottom and a smaller mirror in the top; the mirrored sections are held on with clamps in the back, a few are a bit wobbly. The frames for the mirrors are chipped carved and the decorations include hearts, diamonds, carved rectangles and circles. On the bottom of the base is etched "Made By Herbert McElfresh At T.B. Hospital Oct. The '3' 1958 Pairs? Ky. One small circle decoration is missing on one side section, there's a tiny piece of wood missing from one diamond, and the base has some small scratches. It's a wonderful piece of folk art!
