Fresh from an estate sale! You are bidding on a 58-piece set for 8 in the Taylorstone Cathay "Moderne" pattern by Taylor Smith & Taylor. The set is in beautiful condition and consists of the following: 8 dinner plates (10-1/2") 8 bread & butter plates (6-5/8") 8 soup bowls (7-1/4") 8 fruit bowls (5-5/8") 8 cups 7 saucers 1 serving platter (13-1/2" x 11") 1 serving bowl (10-1/2") 2 salt & pepper shakers, both with original RUBBER stoppers 1 divided relish server 1 open server 1 coffee pot with WOOD lid 1 creamer 1 sugar bowl with WOOD lid This set is marvelous - the only pieces that show any use are the shakers. The glaze on everything is very shiny, and t are no scratches that I can see on any of the plates, bowls etc. Condition-wise, t are only two things to mention: First, the shakers show some range staining / "foxing" - small brown spots - and the pepper shaker has a tiny flea bite on one edge of the handle (see pics). Second, the sugar bow has a tiny flea bite on the inside rim, and the wooden knob of the lid is rough (not sure if something happened to it or if it has just dried out that way).
