Prelude Sterling Flatware You are bidding on a gorgeous lot of antique Sterling Silver flatware. The pieces were made in the Prelude pattern by the International Silver Company. The lot weighs about 4 1/2 lbs. Of this, about 3.3 lbs are the flatware, and 1.4 lbs are knives. Assuming the knives are a little less than half sterling, and based on the silver content of sterling (92.5%), the set has roughly 3.7 lbs of pure silver! Based on today's silver price of about $17.90, the silver content alone in this set is worth over $1,000! The auction includes a total of 59 pieces of Prelude silverware. The set includes: (6) Dinner Forks - 7 1/4" (6) Salad Forks - 6 1/2" (8) Tea Spoons - 6" (6) Butter Spreaders - 5 3/4" (6) Cocktail/Seafood Forks - 5 1/2" (8) Demitasse Spoons 4 1/4" (6) Dinner Knives - 9" (2) Serving Spoons - 8 1/2" (1) Gravy Ladle - 6 1/4" (1) Cream Ladle - 5 1/2" (1) Pierced Bon Bon/Nut Spoon - 4 3/4" (1) Sugar Tongs - 4" (1) Solid Jelly Spoon - 6 1/2" (1) Napkin Ring Clip - 2 3/4" (3-pc) Childrens Set Fork - 6 3/8" Spoon - 5 5/8" Knife - 6 7/8" (1) Pie/Cake Server - 10" (1) Cheese Server - 6 3/8"All of the pieces are in excellent, moderately used condition, with scuffs and general wear, EXCEPT the tongs, jelly/cake/cheese servers are new and unused, and the youth spoon has handle damage. This magnificent lot has NO RESERVE! Buyer pays $12.95 for delivery by USPS Priority Mail. Insurance is REQUIRED and will be based on final sale price. It is estimated at about $11+, but we will send final invoice after end of auction. . NOTE: We are closed on Mondays, so questions sent from late Sunday to Monday will not be answered until Tuesday at the earliest, and items paid for Saturday to Monday will not be shipped until Tuesday or Wednesday.
