***5 Day Auction, ending Wedneday December 24th*** This Towle Old Master Sterling Silver Set comes to you in lovely condition. This set consists of 8 five piece place settings, plus many extra serving pieces. The set stems back to 1942, and has good old fashioned weight. T are no monograms on any pieces and each one is marked Towle Old Master. It comes with a case with the original Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval still inside. The case is in fairly nice condition. The sterling silverware itself is really in great shape, All the tines are straight, knife blades are very clean and straight and t are no dents or dings to any of the pieces. It can use a little polishing, but I'll leave that up to the new owner. I do not guarantee the case is original to the set, but your satisfaction is completely guaranteed on the sterling. The set consists of the following: 8 Dinner Forks: 7 1/4", 8 Salad/Dessert Forks: 6 3/8", 8 Dinner Knives: 8 3/4" (I believe the blades on the knives are sterling as well), 8 Cream Soup Spoons: 6 1/4", and 16 Teaspoons: 6". The Serving Pieces are as follows: 3 Large Serving Table Spoons: 8 1/2" ea. 1 Solid Shell Casserole Spoon: 8" 1 Solid Cold Meat Serving Fork: 8 1/4" 1 Gravy/Cream Solid Ladle: 9 7/8" 1 Flat Handle Master Butter: 6 7/8" 1 Cake/Dessert Server: 9 7/8" 1 Sugar Shell/Spoon: 5 3/4" 1 Jelly Spoon/Server: 6 1/2" 1 Pickle/Olive 2 Tine Fork: 5 7/8" Please Note: All are without Monograms.
