6 Antique Sterling Silver Overlay Art Glass Goblets-Steuben are 6 beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Overlay Art Glass Compotes or Sherberts. They look very much like they could be Steuben. They are excellent quality and done in an golden amber red exterior with a milky white interior. The glass has an overlay of hallmarked sterling silver done in exquisitely detailed Art Nouveau design of flowers, wreaths and vines and bear the hallmark Sterling with the maker's mark 739. They all measure approx. 3 1/8" tall by 3 1/8" wide and have nice weight weighing a total of 2.2lbs. The silver is beautiful with a soft patina. Overall even wear from use. Each is in very good condition. The bottom of one looks as though it has been repaired. It appears the stem separated from the base and t are two repairs to the base to remedy the problem. Please see photographs for detail. This is a gorgeous set and so rare to find one complete. I have owned other art glass made by Steuben and w I cannot find a signature they are of the same caliber and quality. A stunning set that look to be made around the turn of the century, probably 1900 - 1925. A great addition to your American or French art glass collection.
