Up for auction I have a GORGEOUS and ornately detailed set of 6 German Pewter Wine Tumbler Glasses. This is a lovely set of glasses and would be a very unique addition to the pewter lovers collection. This set of tumblers looks old, and is in gently used condition. T are some surface markings that came from normal use, but nothing that takes away from the beauty or function of this gorgeous stein. T is no corrosion or discoloration on this very beautiful set of German Pewter Wine Goblets. **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. DESCRIPTION: This is a gorgeous and very unique set of wine goblets. The outside has a gorgeous dark patina, while the inside has a nicely polished silvery finish. The sides of these goblets feature ornately detailed medieval hunting themed scenes. The first scene shows a huge stag calling a mate. He is standing in some tall shaggy grass and has a massive set of antlers. The second scene features a medieval era hunter walking through a patch of grass with swords in both hands. The third scene shows a very long legged bird, perhaps a crane standing in a marsh. T are tall cattails and small flowers in this scene as well. The fourth scene features a magnificent medieval warrior on horseback slaying a dragon or serpent. I believe this scene is possibly called St. Georges, but I am not sure. Around the rim and the base of these gorgeous wine tumblers, t is a band of nicely polished pewter. This set of 6 matching pewter wine tumblers will be a treasure for it's new owner. The pictures don't do it justice. DIMENSIONS: The tumblers each measures approximately HEIGHT: 4 7/8 inches WIDTH: 2 3/4 inches WEIGHT: 14 ounces All measurements are taken from the highest point to the widest point, including handles, spouts, finials, flips on the lids and all other extentions of the piece.
