Disneyland's 50th Anniversary Dessert Plates by Kimberly Irvine The certificate that comes with each plate reads: In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, Kimberly Irvine, director of Concept/ Show Design for Walt Disney Imagineering-Anaheim, designed sparkling, bejeweled crowns and turrets to adorn Sleeping Beauty Castle. Kim's original designs are interpreted on this series of collector plates with each design representing a different era at " The Happiest Place on Earth." (individual pictures show plates in order from 1-6) Plate #1: (MICKEY MOUSE CLUB) The years 1955 to 1960 are represented by the"Mouseketeer" mouse ears made famous on the Mickey Mouse Club. Plate #2 : ( TOMORROWLAND ) From 1961 to 1971 the land on the move, Tomorrowland was just a rocket ride to imagination and beyond. Plate #3: (BLUE FAIRY ) With the Blue Fairy presiding over its procession, the Main Street Electrical Parade made its illuminating mark on Walt Disney's original "Magic Kingdom" from 1972 to 1994.
