This auction is for six new handmade sterling silver mounted slotted steel conchos. They were made by Dale Bass. Dale is a bit and spur maker from Amarillo, Texas. His work is illustrated in " Bits & Spurs, Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers " by Ned and Jody Martin. Dale has been a maker for about 17 years and became a full time maker in 1998. The conchos are domed and mounted with engraved sterling silver. The conchos are 1 1/2" in diameter and fit a 1/2" strap. They are marked with Dale's mark "W BASS". It is not often that these types of conchos are mounted in sterling. All of Dale's work is mounted in sterling. We also have 1 1/4" conchos available in this style. The winning bidder may substitute two 1 1/2" for two 1 1/4" . Just notify us at time of payment and we will be happy to accommodate.
