_________________________________________________________ To the best of our knowledge these are six(6) Old GAR Grand Army of the Republic Brass Buttons. The buttons were made by three different companies. The large button is 7/8" across but is not marked. The five(5) smaller buttons are 9/16" across. Three were made by Scovill MFG Co., Waterbury. One was made by Horstmann, Phila, Pa. One was made by G. W. Simmons & Son, Boston. All are marked on the back of the button. We would guess about the 1880s. Condition is very good -- a lot of patina so they just need a good cleaning if you want. Hard To Find These Old Ones. ______________________________________________________ Thanks For Looking _________________________ ________________________ ** NO RESERVE ** **DON'T MISS THIS ONE** **A NICE ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION** **OR THAT SPECIAL GIFT** _________________________________________ We will be presenting many nice items for your gift giving this year.
