Unique 1929 Birmingham STERLING Salt Cellars & Pepper Shakers Set with Mustard Pots 6 Pieces of Sterling & 4 Tops, all Individually Hallmarked Mappin & Webb, London - Makers This is a *** NR *** NO RESERVE Auction!!! This is a nice set of Birmingham Sterling Salt & Pepper with Mustard Pots from 1929 or possibly 1930. The 6 pieces - two (2) tall Pepper Shakers with cobalt blue glass inserts, two (2) open Salt Cellars with cobalt blue glass inserts, and two (2) covered Mustard Pots - one with cobalt blue glass insert, the other with a plastic (?) lighter color blue insert (see photos). Each piece and top is hallmarked, the bottom having 4 hallmarks (see photo) one for the year (1929-30), one for Sterling, one for Birmingham, and the maker mark which is for Mappin & Webb, London. The condition is very good, except for the bottoms of the two tall Pepper Shakers, which are not round anymore (could be fixed, I believe). Both of these bottoms are not round. One of the cobalt glass inserts is chipped, but is not noticeable due to the color. This is a nice set to display and use! [Note: I paid $495 about 15 years ago at The Lions Mark in West Vancouver, so my price is a STEAL!] Shipping & handling to anyw in the U.S. is $9.95 via USPS Priority Mail w/Delivery Confirmation; Shipping to Canada via Parcel Post is $13.95. I do give a reduced shipping charge for combined shipping on items purchased within a 7 day period and paid for all at once. Just let me know that you are "shopping", and I will prepare. Items must be paid for within 10 days or item will be relisted. I prefer PayPal, but will accept Money Order's and Cashier's Checks upon request.
