is probably some of the nicest Ojibwe Indian beadwork I have ever come across! This is a Woman's 6-piece set of beadwork that consists of 1) Two 8-point star hair pieces or berets that measure 5" x 4" w/clips 2) This is a heart-shaped beadwork piece that measures 9" x 8" wide...with the "danglies" it hangs 17" overall.... is supposed to be a purse that some dancers carry . Sometimes they aren't actual purses, as this piece appears to be, but it is an integral part of the entire outfit! 3) The beadwork belt measures 36" long x 4 1/2" wide w/3 small clasps to hold it on and 4) Two "leggings" that measure 14" x 13 1/2" square. One is finished with the zipper installed. They have a slight taper to them and wrap around the calf of the leg. The other does not have the zipper finished, but all the beadwork is completed....so I would say this entire set of beadwork has never been worn as a complete dancing outfit! The large 8-point star pattern and the attention to detail is truly awesome! These pieces came from the Leech Lake Reservation from the Cass Lake/Walker area of northern Minnesota. The pictures do not do this beadwork set justice! It is difficult to show the exact and very fine "detail" of the beadwork,but the colors are exceptional!! The quality of the beadwork is simply outstanding! I'm sorry I don't have a name to go with the work...they certainly deserved credit for doing such an exceptional job! Bear in mind that t is an awful lot of beadwork and the many many hours that went into crafting all of this. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
