6 piece Tuttle Bateman sterling silver tea service of distinctive lozenge shape consisting of coffee pot with ebony handle and finial with slender tapering spout. Tea pot with ebony handle and finial resting atop a footed tray. Covered sugar with applied loop handles and ebony finial; waste and loop handled creamer. Engraved to the underside `April 17, 1937 To M.B.P and W.H.L.III from M.G.L and W. H. L. Jr.` With the mark of Tuttle Silversmiths, Boston with date code for 1933-1945 and `Bateman Reproduction` and `Hand Wrought`. The tray with the addition of `Made for Shreve, Crump and Lowe`. 86 troy ozs. Tallest 6.25` H, Circa - 1937.
