For bid is a fine set of 6 Eastlake Victorian demitasse cups and saucers. The bright, gleaming gold-gilt is 100% intact on these Tiffany porcelain inserts. The design is typical of the early Victorian Era, ca. 1875. They have a large elaborate gold border at the top, with a fine simple band of gold inside and out. The Tiffany cups are stamped TIFFANY & CO NEW YORK Made in England, all under a MINTONS globe and are hand-numbered H 1032. These were produced by the prestigious Mintons in England for Tiffany and are 100% authentic. One has a very minor brown hairline that can be seen at the bottom of the interior of the cup; the hairline does not appear through to the exterior. The 6 cups are chip-free, showing absolutely no signs of gold loss. The unmonogrammed 6 cups and 6 saucers are marked sterling silver and feature a wonderful floral and shield/medallion motif. Each have been hand-polished, and will arrive as bright as the photographs. Each are stamped STERLING and SSMC, for Saart Brothers of Attleboro, Massachusettes. They display beautifully as photographed, but do have some dents, acceptable as vintage sterling items. Though they display well, they are also fully functional with sturdy graceful handles. All are polished brightly without any monogram removals or repairs. The total height of the insert/cup/saucer combined, measures over 2 1/4 inches(6 cm), the insert is 2 1/4" in diameter, the sterling cup measures 2 5/8" with handle, 1 3/4" diameter, the saucers measure 3 3/8"(8.5 cm.) All 6 cups and saucers have a solid weight of 211.3 grams or 6.8 troy ounces of pure sterling. If paid through paypal these can be delivered in time for Easter's entertaining. As a rule I ship no later than 1 business day after payment, the same when possible. Please add $12.00 for insured USPS delivery within the United States. Others, please ask for a quote.
