Description: "CHRISTMAS IN JULY " Up for auction today is this set of 6 Vintage Light-Up Christmas Elf Lawn Ornaments These are a Blow Mold plastic lawn ornament made by EMPIRE - Carolina Enterprises - Made in U.S.A. They are all dated 1978 on the back - The tag states indoor use only. Each Elf stands 19 inches tall - the base is appox. 6 inches wide. These Christmas Elves are simply charming...Very Cute Little Fellas!!! T are a total of 6 elves in this lot. These cute elves are holding a black plastic shovel.... T are only 4 shovels, Two of the shovels are missing ..You may be able to find a shovel or other tools that will fit at a craft or toy store. These are a light up lawn ornament. Two of the elves have the entire light cord and plastic ring - 1 elf has the entire light cord, but the plastic ring that holds it in the elf is missing. Three of the elves do not have a light cord and they are missing the plastic ring to hold the light into the elf. You may be able to find replacement cords on other lawn ornaments of similar size. The light bulbs are not included. They require an 8 watt small bulb. The elves are in excellent used condition. T are a few minor rub spots w the paint is missing, mostly on the hats.. You could aways touch up the small rub spots, but they ready are not that bad....The paint is still shiny and t is very minor paint loss. They are in remarkable condition for their age. Please excuse all the camera flash glare spots...These are not spots of paint missing they are flash spots from the camera. The plastic is in excellent condition with no cracks......They do not appear to have been used very often. Saddly they are missing a few parts, but they can be replaced. Each elf has a factory hole in the bottom - The former owner wrote her name and a date on the bottoms of the elves. The actual date they were made is 1978 and is stamped into the plastic..She wrote another date in marker... I did not try to remove the writing, but it may be able to be removed. Found at a Wonderful Old Estate Sale. They were found in the attic of a very nice estate sale. They were all in plastic bags so they are still nice and shiny and clean.
