Set of 6 matching antique mission oak chairs ready for use in your home. Very high quality. Most likely Stickley or one of the other top manufacturers of the mission period. These chairs were refinished years ago and t is no label remaining to identify the maker. Each measures 37" tall, 17-7/8" wide, and 16" deep. 18" from floor to seat. Made of solid tiger oak The tall backs curve slightly (side to side) and arches back as they go up--these construction details make for very comfortable seating. They have pinned (wooden dowel) construction at 6 different joints which keeps the chairs from becoming loose. These heavy chairs are very sturdy-- no wobble or give at all. The wide boards that connect the legs on all sides certainly contribute to the strength of them and I really like the look that they give also. Even the bottoms of the feet on these chairs are beveled. Overall condition is very good. The upholstered seats are like new -- they were done in the past year. Many times front leg surfaces show lots of wear but not on these. The corners are pretty sharp. T is normal light wear and t but nothing prominent.. I did find a diagonal line across a post on the back side of one chair. See last photo for a closeup. It does not go much beyond the surface as it runs to a corner. It is difficult to see and does not affect the chair. I can ship these chairs quite reasonably with Greyhound-- just give me your location for a quote. Or you are welcome to pick them up yourself. I am located about one hour due south of Cleveland, Ohio. Don't overlook these chairs. Sets this good are very hard to come by. Thanks for looking.
