Product Features The djembe is 60cm tall. Genuine goat skin. Hard wood body. Deep and loud sound. Hand carved in the Aboriginal style. This amazing, sturdy djembe drum was hand carved in Java from Suar wood, which is indigenous to Indonesia and comes from a sustainable forest. Suar is well-known for its resonant, hard-wearing properties, which makes it absolutely perfect for percussion instruments. It features an enchanting traditional design and is sure to enliven any drum circle or jam session! All items are dispatched from within the UK and we always take extra special care with packaging to ensure your item reaches you safely. Please note there may be some small variation in carving design/shading. We have been sourcing, importing and retailing furniture and handicrafts from Asia for almost twenty years. We have always run our business along Fair Trade guidelines, usually using small family businesses in Asia and recently Africa. Materials used by our producers are local and sustainable.
