This lovely and beautiful, and colorful Satsuma demi cup and saucer measures 1 1/2" tall, 3 3/4" across the saucer in diameter, and 2" inches across the top of the cup in diameter. The cup and saucer are painted with a Satsuma wearing an orange, and yellow robe, with moriage raised orange dot designs on it. It has a blue Vail and sash. It is sitting with an orange, blue, brown, green, and white background with 2 brown and orange shrubs. The Satsuma has a gold gilt Ora halo look around its head, and gold gilt sash. The cup and saucer have gold gilt rims and handle. No chips, no cracks, no repairs, with little to no wear on the gold. They are like they left the factory 60 years ago. Both cup and saucer are stamped on the bottom under the glaze in red MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN . (see photo) Nicely detailed addition to any collection.
