You are bidding on a three DVD-ROM set of 63 scanned military electronics training manuals, dating from 1941 through 1965 with special emphasis on the vacuum-tube era. There are more than 10,000 pages of information here. Most of the manuals are from the Army, but there is a collection of Air Force and Navy manuals, as well as some manuals from Philco that were written on contract to the military. The heart of the sequence is the "Fundamentals of Electronics" series of 23 manuals from the Army that form a complete course in electronics for the maintenance engineer. There are a number of volumes on testing and troubleshooting techniques. The basic theory of electronics and electronic devices is explained a number of times here in various different ways. Systems as varied as telephony and magnetron oscillators are described. Each of the manuals has been scanned by OCR and is fully text-searchable. In addition, there is a full collection-wide index that will take you directly to the word in any manual. Do a search on "dynatron" or "loran" and it will give you each and every mention of it. (note: to use this search facillity, you really have to copy the discs to a single folder on a hard drive so the index can get to them).
