This incredable wooden Indian came from an elderly gentlemans estate/collection in Maui. I had a gallery of art and artifacts t that closed to medical reasons about 3 years ago. I then brought the indian along with many other art objects to the mainland in hopes of re-opening a gallery. That didn't happen, so we are. It has recently been disclosed that the piece was purchased from the Oppenheimer Estate over 20 years ago. The condition is good, but does have chips and cracks. This, however does not take away its authenticity, but adds to it. The Indian stands 67" tall and I believe the pictures tell the tail. I do have a small reserve based on some research I have done. I'm no expert, but I was told that it was quite valuable. Its an outstanding example of folk art that is rairly seen on the market today. Good luck and happy bidding.
