These 7 newspapers date from April 17, 1865 to April 24, 1865 and all feature news about the assassination and funeral arrangements for Abraham Lincoln. Also included is the ongoing murder investigation and the hunt for John Wilkes Booth as well as information about the ending of the Civil War. The newspaper include THE PHILADELPHIA PRESS from April 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, & 24. Also included is a very scarce copy of the St. LOUIS JOURNAL OF COMMERCE from April 20, 1865. Six of the newspapers are in very good condition! The April 17 copy of THE PRESS is torn on the centerfolds. Buyer pays shipping & insurance.
