HI! I'm listing for auction 7-pieces of Hard-To-Find Red Wing "Town & Country" pattern Dinnerware in their "Metallic Brown" color. Eve Zeisel, one of America's most renowned contemporary designers of that era designed this pattern for Red Wing in 1947.Note: This color is nearly impossible to photograph because of glare, etc. I did my best. Condition: This pattern was plagued with production problems from the beginning and you will seldom find a piece that is perfect - these pieces are no exception. Expect to find a flaw or two - any of the following: Tiny sand particles embedded in the glaze, small areas that didn't take the glaze properly, unevenness of color, light crazing and other factory defects. Collectors are well aware of these problems but for those of you who are beginners or perfectionists, my advice is "find another pattern to collect"!
