Where do I start? This incredible kit is actually a composite assembled by the kit-maker from multiple sources. The waterline hull was cast by Imperial Hobby Products in 2000; Modern Relics purchased a number of those castings for re-sale thereafter, and I bought this example in 2004. But wait -- there's more, as they say on TV. The package also includes EIGHT Skywave E-9 WWII USN Equipment set sprues (so you'll have a BUNCH of spares, including scouting aircraft), and three extremely delicate Tom's Modelworks etched brass sheets (PE sets #704 (railings), #706 (radar antennae) and #725 ('fast battleship set'). The four turrets and other major parts are cast in white metal, while the 16" gun barrels look to be cast in brass.AFAIK, this is the ONLY Montana kit ever produced in this scale, and it. is. a. behemoth! The hull measures just short of 16" in length, and it's close to 2-1/8th inches in width. The kit is completely untouched and pristine. When it was released in ~2003, it retailed for $200. Obviously, if you didn't buy it then, this may be your only chance to acquire one of these rare, HUGE, impressive kits.Bidders should be aware that eBay's postage calculator may, or may not, reflect reality. This kit comes in a sizable box, and the buyer is strongly encouraged to await my invoice, as I will only charge actual p&h based upon read more
