A stylish 70s classic from Hamilton in very good condition. These are getting hard to find these days. Case, dial, crystal and hands all in good condition. Sweep seconds hand. The automatic movement keeps good time. I timed it over 24 hours and it lost 2 minutes. The mechanism occasionally slips a little but winds smoothly most of the time. Like most of my watches, this has been sitting in a display case for years and will certainly need a service to get the best out of it. Day date and quick set function all work fine. The signed crown looks original and is in good condition. Is signed Hamilton on dial and has the 'H' emblem at 12 o'clock. Dial is also marked 'automatic' and 'Fontainebleau'. Separate day and date windows at 6.Stainless steel back is marked 'Fontainebleau' and has serial and patent numbers. Measures 35 mm across and 35 mm lug to lug. 8 mm deep. Has a pleasing weight on the wrist. All in all, a great example of a 70s Hamilton Fontainebleau which screams retro style. I love the horizontal hour markers on the dial. The faceted case is also striking. You won't find many in this condition.I am enthusiast rather than an expert and watch collecting is strictly a hobby for me. Every so often I thin out my collection. I have a busy full time job and young family so I cannot post things out as quickly as those who make their read more
