COLLECTORS ITEM from Finland. A very, very beautiful, large and heavy vase, made in clear glass by- and signed TAPIO WIRKKALA 3432. It is 22,5 cm in height = close to 9", and the diameter is 26,5 cm at the most.= app 10½". The weight is 7100 gram. Yes - 7,1 kilo... Really a fantastic and outstanding piece of Finnish glass art, at it´s best, and in perfect condition EXCEPT for a tiny fleabite at the rim. The rim is 1 cm wide, so you don´t really notice it, but you can feel it with your finger. Any white spots or so are from the camera flash.The signature is shown at photo no 9, but my camera did not catch it clearly, the same with the small chip at photo no 10, which is not noticiable either. This vase - I think - is a masterpiece, rare and hard to find. It will add to any collection, or stand beautifully alone anyw Please see my other auctions as I will combine shipping. Thank you.
