1/72 Diecast Metal Sopwith Triplane - Moscow Flying School, 1919 1/72 Diecast Metal Sopwith Triplane, N5486. This aircraft was definitely used in early 1919 by the Moscow Flying School but may be in the scheme of a Special Operations Group on the Southern Front during the Russian civil war in late 1919. This model is brand new in its sealed packaging (the one in the image is from my collection). This is part of a range of about a dozen biplane subjects, many of which are unique. They are unusual as they are unbranded and also appear to be made more from a traditional white metal rather than more modern zinc alloys - this results in a greater weight and also a tendency for the metal to be more flexible. They were originally sold in continental Europe and are packaged in a clear plastic blister pack - you may receive a pack which has signs of crushing, so they are not for the 'mint & boxed' collectors out there, but the model inside is in perfect condition (all models will be checked before dispatch for breakages, but as they appear to be hand-assembled some variation to the decals and rigging is to be expected. Please note that these are NOT molded to the same quality as many other 1/72 models, but they do fill gaps in collections missed by other manufacturers).This is just one of a number of similar items I am selling today.
