You are bidding on 74 Railroad tie date nails. They encompass years 1901 through 1973. T is also a nail with "X" on it. I am selling these for a friend who has limited history of the nails and we both have limited knowledge of exactly what a date nail is and no knowledge of w these were obtained geographically. They were originally in a piece of wall paneling, wrapped in cardboard and tied with string. I have put them in styrofoam for purposes of photographing. If you would like a close up picture of a particular date nail, let me know and I'll try to accommodate. Please make paymentarrangements within 3 days of auction ending.
