Ever since we started listing patches in Jan 2005, we have learned alot about patches, how they're made, etc. #1. Our initial purchase of about 4,000 patches all at one time was from one person who has a wide variety of patches ranging from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Most are extremely thick patches, unique thread, and real nice feel. T are many theories on these patches, such overruns, jacket factory orders, productions from past movies, etc. None of these patches have been worn by active duty personnel. We will call this group #1. #1.5 We also obtained additional patches from this same location which are slightly different than our first pick-up from Jan 2005. None of these patches have been worn by active duty personnel. We call this Group #1.5 #2. Because of the success we had selling unique patches; we went on a country wide search to find more patches. That search took us thousands of miles and lots or time trying to find more lost treasures. During this time we found an old guy name Sam who still has the original shop that his father had when Sam was a child. I saw the picture of the shop when Sam was about 10 years old and the shop was an old military shop and it was full of military articles. It was t for the troops during WWII in Manila .
