This auction is for a complete collection of 22kt Golden Replicas of the Stamps of the Century. Celebrate the Century is an exciting, limited edition stamp series that commemorates the most significant people, events and accomplishments of the 20 th Century. This is the 2 nd of 2 albums which covers the 5 decades 1950 thru 1990 and includes 75 Official First Day Covers (FDC) ( 15 FDCs per decade) produced by the Postal Commemorative Society (PCS); each FDC includes a proof-like 22kt Gold Stamp Replica of the featured stamp incased in a protectively sealed capsule. The featured stamp is cancelled with the Official First Day of Issue Postmark. A descriptive information/fact card written by experts on American history and United States Stamps is also included for each FDC. All the FDCs are addressed. A nice dark blue custom designed simulated leather Collector’s Album with transparent vinyl pockets for protecting and properly displaying 75 FDCs is also included. The Collector’s Album has the previous owner’s name embossed in gold on the cover. The Golden Replicas of the Stamps of the Century Collector’s Album has several very small scuff and wear marks on the corners and several small blemishes on the spine. Overall the collection is in excellent condition. To the best of my knowledge this is a complete collection of the 2 nd album of the 22kt Golden Replicas of the Stamps of the Century FDCs produced and issued in this series by the PCS. I base this statement on over 15 years researching, compiling information about, and collecting these 22kt Gold Replica FDCs. The following is a list of the FDCs included in the collection.
