The winner of this auction is going to receive 1 (One) 1976 Cincinnati Reds signed Spading Official Major League Baseball. This is an absolutely beautiful piece of baseball history in many ways. To start off this is when Spalding had the contract to produce the Official Ball for the National League. Secondly this ball is full of Hall of Fame signatures along with others that should be in the HOF . This is also a National League President Chuck Feeney Official National League Ball. The signatures include Johnny Bench, Ray Knight, Jr Kennedy, Ken Griffey, George Foster, Tom Seaver, Don Werner, Dave Concepcion, Dan Drissen, Ron Oster, Dave Tomlin, Bill Bonhan, and Doug Bair THIS IS NOT A PRE PRINT! IT IS ALL ORIGINAL AND A ONE OF A KIND IF ANYTHING! This auction is for 1 (one) signed Cincinnati Reds 1976 Signed Baseball. Item is in good game used condition but is being sold AS-IS. This Baseball was used during a game in Chicago on May 7 th , 1977 – I was in the Navy and attended this game with my wife – we had front row seats (right side of the plate). Champ Summers tipped this ball and I caught it (basically protecting my face). A couple of years later I was living in Fort Wright , Kentucky . My neighbor was Don Werner (back-up catcher for Johnny Bench . Don took the ball to Riverfront Stadium and had it signed as stated above. read more
