Welcome to my button auctions. I recently purchased a collection of antique buttons that belonged to a woman who lived in Vermont.
I was told that she collected these in the 1940's. T are many names written on the backs of some of the papers, to indicate whom she received buttons from. This is a truly wonderful collection! These are some of the nicest buttons I've come across. The condition of them is excellent, as they were carefully stored in a large album. Each page measures 12" wide x 12.5" tall, including the background. I am selling them by the card, a she collected them, rather than splitting them up into small auctions. I have taken many pictures, including close-ups, of each lot. Please feel free to ask questions before bidding. I will be happy to answer you. You would have to look long, and hard, to find such beautiful buttons collected together. LOT #1 This lot consists of a full page of 75 china buttons. T are Banded Ringers, Calicoes, Stencils, Pie Crusts, Gaiters, sawtooths, a silver Pattern Eye, a fancy blue and white whistle, and more. Some of the ringers have colored bases. The calicoes measure 7/8" in diameter. The stencils range from 9/16" - 11/16" in diameter. T is a cute black and white face stencil button. I believe the green and cream colored at about 3 O'clock in the lower right ring, is an aluminum stencil in pristine condition. The names written on the reverse of the card are Mrs. H. Quimby, and Helen Daniels. Please check out my other items for more great buttons! TERMS OF PAYMENT: I accept payment through PayPal, a United States Postal Money Order, or personal check. Items paid for with a personal check will not be shipped until the check has cleared my bank. Payment is expected no later than 7 days of auction close. Do not wait for several days, and then mail your payment, as it most likely will arrive late. If I do not receive payment for the item within 7 days, and have not heard from you, the item may be re-listed. I will give you negative feedback, and you will be reported to eBay as a non-paying bidder. If you do not pay through PayPal, please notify me that you will be sending your payment through the mail. This will help avoid any misunderstandings regarding payment. If you notify me that you will send the payment, I can extend the time allowed for receipt of payment to 10 days, if needed. If you SHIPPING: YES, I combine your winning auctions to save on shipping charges, when possible. Two - three of these button cards may fit into a priority mail shipping box at the 1 lb. Rate. This would be a considerable savings to you. Shipping will be by USPS Priority mail. USPS insurance is optional and based on the final selling price. If you choose not to insure this item, shipping will be at your own risk for loss or damage. I use good quality packing materials, and take pride in my packaging. FOREIGN BIDDERS: I will consider foreign bidders based on their feedback history, once I receive a request to bid on an auction. Please do not wait until the last few hours to request to bid. I add a $2.00 fee to the cost of shipping to foreign countries. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I sell mostly used, and vintage items. I do my best describing them with words, and photos. As with all used items, t may be "condition" issues typical of vintage items. I cannot point out every little detail. However, I will try to mention anything that would negatively affect the value of the item. Again, please ask questions before bidding.
