Up for auction is a rare complete set of NIB officially authorized by the Walt Disney Company "75 Years with Mickey Silver Proof Medallions" complete set. These medallions were meticulously crafted by the Postal Commemorative Society of .999 fine silver, double-struck from highly-polished dies and silver blanks. The result is a gleaming, mirror-like finish and dramatic frosted sculptures that stand out in high relief. Finally, each medallion is edgemarked with the unique serial number, this complete set-of-six is edgemarked "C834". Each medallion in the set features a full-color illustration of Mickey as he appeared in one of his classic films... from his gleeful premier as the playful deck hand in Steamboat Willie.... to the Sorcerer's Apprentice.... to his dual role in the 1990 retelling of Dickens' The Prince and the Pauper......Mickey's Christmas Carol......The Nifty Nineties and The Brave Little Tailor. On the back of each medallion, Mickey's beaming face is beautifully revealed against a mirror-like background -- with a splash of glittering stars reflecting his enduring optimism and irresistible charm. These will become heirloom treasures minted to the highest proof-quality standards. They were shipped with a protective plastic casing so these coins can be untouched forever, It also includes the original pamphlet that explains each coin in detail.
