This is a Schwinn 3 speed wheel set form a 1978 Schwinn Breeze.26" x 1 3/8" S-6 rims.The wheels will fit on any Schwinn 26", lightweight, 3 speed frame set up for hand brakes.These S-6 rims take Schwinn Straight Side 26" x 1 3/8" tires. Kenda makes a replacement tire to fit. Regular hook bead tires won't fit. You can get the tires on eBay or at some bike shops.The wheels are the same size as as Schwinn S-5 rims. S-5 rims have a raised center under the spokes. S-6 rims are flat.The rims are side stamped Schwinn Tubular S-6. There is knurling in the center.Sturmey Archer AW 3 speed hub from England. It is date stamped 78. The hub shifts nicely. It is a good hub.Original indicator chain and axle nuts with washers.Smaller diameter Schwinn Approved front hub. The axle is straight. The bearings are good.The wheels have been cleaned of all surface rust and dried grease. They have been polished with chrome polish. It is a 2 hour, dirty, tedious job. You won't have to do it.The chrome is bright. There are some spots of rust through the chrome on the sides of the rims, not on the tops. It is not real bad. The rust spots are pictured. The wheels will look good when mounted with tires. The spots are pictured.The wheels are true with no curb dents. Good spokes.Two wheels are somewhat expensive to ship because of the size of the box.
