Up for your consideration is an Seventy Nine Piece Set of Blue Garland Haviland China. These pieces are in near mint condition with no cracks or chips. The platinum trim around the rims remains full and vibrant. Johann Haviland, Bavaria, Germany is clearly stamped in green ink on the bottoms with a little crown in the center of the mark. The Blue Garland Pattern, now discontinued, features a delicate rosebud design in subtle shades of sapphire blue silhouetted on pearly white translucent china. The hand painted accent lines of platinum decorate each edge and trace the curves of the design. Haviland China has a long history. Johann Haviland produced casual china and hotelware using the "Johann Haviland" backstamp from 1907 to 1924 in Waldershof, Germany. When the Great War ended in 1924, Johann sold his firm to Richard Ginori Porcelain of Italy.
